Thanks to the hard work of our Public Works Department, the City Planted three Armstrong Maple trees at Chattahoochee & Elrod street in the honor of Arbor Day Feb. 17, 2017.
For the last 26 years, the City of Cornelia has received the Tree City USA status, and the Growth Award status for 25 years, in management of its forest resources. A well-managed urban forest provides many benefits including attracting new businesses, jobs, and residents to the area. Healthy community trees also touch lives of people within the community by providing clean air, clean water, shadier streets, stormwater management and aesthetic beauty.
