The City of Cornelia is seeking public input for the 2018 Comprehensive Plan. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) requires that communities complete and maintain a Comprehensive Plan to help direct future growth and development. The Comprehensive Plan is intended to be a community-guided document that identifies community goals, needs and opportunities, and a vision for the future. The City has completed a public involvement process that included a public hearing, a community survey, multiple stakeholder meetings and now has a draft plan available for public comment.
The City is hosting an open house to show residents and business owners the City’s draft Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of the open house is to let the community see the results of the City’s planning process and to provide a venue for public feedback.
The Open House event is being held at the Community House and aims to provide a convenient time and location that accommodates the busy schedules of people in the community.
